    On entering the gardens, the public encounter a community of individuals engaged in a variety of actions and interactions.
The artists
 

Sarah Buist, born in Aotearoa / New Zealand and based in London, Sarah makes installations and sculptures that create worlds with other rules. Her installation, "Yes, maybe" consists of 50 hanging moving pompoms seen through a row of doors. "Sweet Conversation" is a sculpture of larger than life-size table and chairs made of sugar cubes. Geeske Harting, based in the Hague, Geeske makes paintings and installations with the themes of isolation and protection, often with irony. She is a member of Quartair Contemporary Art Initiatives, a collective of artists who coordinate international arts exchanges.
 

Jessy Rahman, born in Suriname and based in the Hague, makes paintings, installations and performances. In "Aquarium", a painting of enlarged micro-organisms was placed inside a fish tank so that the organisms depicted grew on and around around the painting during the exhibition. Wim van Egmond, based in Rotterdam, he makes photographs, videos, installations and performances connecting science and art, with a focus on the microcosm.
 

Sonja van Kerkhoff, born in Aotearoa / New Zealand and based in the Hague, she makes two and three dimensional work, videos, and performances in which her children often play central role, not as cute or passive icons but as serious participants in the world of culture and politics.
