Erika Batdorf (Canada)
|
Erika Batdorf performing for about ten minutes on top of the tower.
She performed in five locations, beginning on the top of the tower. The whole piece was forty minutes long, including two five to ten minute periods of rest.

|
Erika Batdorf performing on top of the tower. | They were slow abstract movements and then she climbed down the stairs to remain out of view for about ten minutes.
She now appeared, largely unnoticed at the bottom of the stairs and picked up a stick (one of five of Maxim Dumitras's works which were used in her piece) laid near the woodstack. She then slumped her body against the wall, pushing off from this while moving the stick, then later balancing it.

Erika Batdorf performing inside the gallery building.
Her eyes were shut and it seemed that she was reacting to the music and hum of voices around her. By now, the visitors had noticed her and in doing so formed a half circle around her.

Tama crawled towards the shed, where inside, behind a black cloth, he changed into his Fruits of the Earth costume, and Erika crawled inside and up the stairs, out of sight.
