During my 2000 exhibition / residency in New Zealand, I conducted 'workshops' around these, encouraging people to tell me what the texts were about and getting them to move beyond 'the garden' in their thinking. Once we reached a point at which I felt we had done this as a group, each person was invited to write that thought or image onto the walls of the museum, so that over the span of two months, the walls bore traces of these 'out of the garden' workshops.
