"Transit in a green landscape," is both a happening and a video about time and scale in the land as well as a weaving of genres: red moves through a field of green, nature is foregrounded and distilled. The setting is a New Zealand sheep farm - nature is also farmed. The forested areas, the paddocks, the sheep and fences, and then the individuals who create the 'transit,' are tiny against the hills.

The participants could be read as performing in a ritual, acting, or as a collective of individuals. The role of these individuals is intentionally ambiguous, while the music by Mark Laurent hints subtly and skillfully at form. The silences and pace make room for the 'ghosts' of time and scale.
